The Blessings of Easter to all.

Kangaroo Island travels
Kangaroo Island is the third largest island in Australia after Tasmania and Melville Island. It is about 190km from Penneshaw to Remarkable Rocks. The Doc travelled almost 3,000km on the Island. A map of his travels:
Part 1 of his Trip is here. Part 2 will be posted in the next day or so.
New South Wales’ Jurassic Park
This is a big one.
“THOUSANDS of hectares of national park land across the State will be set aside for locally extinct animals such as the bilby and numbat under an ambitious NSW government plan to return the Australian bush as it was a century ago.”
Read the article here, some great pictures of rare Australian small mammals, several of the which The Doc saw on his recent trip. The Project is being run in conjunction with Australian Wildlife Conservancy. It is pleasing to see the NSW Government taking effective action to help save these critically endangered animals.
Kangaroo Island Part 1 – The Main Attractions
As promised Part 1 of the Kangaroo Island Report has been posted. It covers the main attractions like Remarkable Rocks, Flinders Chase National Park, Kingscote and Admiral’s Arch, click here.
Kangaroo Island Reports
The KI Reports will start in the next day or so. There was going to be 3 parts. But Part 2 was divided into 6 sub parts!
Part 1 is the Tourist view of the Island.
Photo competitions
The Doc does not enter his images in many photo competitions. However, some of the Galapagos images were entered – some of my best shots were not posted here.
He has been advised that 2 images have been selected for the next round of judging, but judging in not yet over. The Doc thinks some of his bird shots are better, lets hope the judges agree.
The Doc’s aim was to get past the first round, so that aim was achieved and there is still a chance he can go further. Probably best not to mention the name of the competition at this time.
Easter Island Report posted
The 5 Day Easter Island trip is written up in one report. There are some some great sunset and sunrise photos of the Giant Moai. The Report is posted here.
