The third instalment of Textures of the Australian Bush covers rock and minerals.
The Doc could call this instalment, the Big Australian, as many samples come from the BHP mine at Broken Hill, from the enormous mullock heap that dominates the town. Mullock is the waste rock from the mining operations.
This mine is the place where the big Australian started. The silver deposit is still the biggest and purest ever discovered, anywhere in the world.
Some wonderful sandstone as well, enjoy.
Awesome!
