Point Gantheaume may sound familiar to readers as there is a Cape Gantheaume  on Kangaroo Island. The Doc’s immediate thought was that Captain Baudin sailed past Broome on his way to KI. That is exactly what happened. Gantheaume  was a French Admiral.
